Family Kayak Adventure
A magical adventure discovering the extraordinary biodiversity of the Venice Lagoon. Paddling through landscapes shaped by wind, tides, and salt, we will immerse ourselves in habitats that are essential for migratory birds, fish, and plants capable of adapting to extreme conditions.
Armed with magnifying glasses, binoculars, and plenty of curiosity, we will transform into little explorers: we will follow animal tracks and observe footprints, nests, and other clues that reveal who lives hidden in this precious ecosystem. An educational and fun experience, perfect to enjoy with the family, surrounded by nature and the wonder of the lagoon.

What we will do
Meeting point at the “Laguniamo” rental center: our adventure begins here! Each child will receive their own “explorer’s kit” to observe and analyze the natural treasures we encounter along the way
Before setting off, basic instructions will be provided on how to use the kayak correctly and safely, so that we can navigate the lagoon environment with confidence
Paddling slowly through narrow waterways, we will learn about the plants that live in contact with brackish water and understand how they provide essential habitats for many fish and birds
We will analyze samples of lagoon soil and discover which organisms find refuge within it
Following animal tracks: we will explore the shallow waters in search of footprints, burrows, nests, and other signs of passage, learning how to identify and recognize the animals that live in this delicate and fascinating ecosystem
We will also observe the underwater world, looking beneath the surface to discover crabs, mollusks, and algae that contribute to an extraordinary biodiversity
At sunset, with a bit of luck, we may admire different species of fish darting through the water just a few meters from us, surrounded by the evocative colors of the lagoon
