Armed with magnifying glasses, sharp eyes and plenty of curiosity, we’ll become young nature explorers, searching for animal tracks, footprints, nests and other clues that reveal the hidden wildlife living among the dunes. A fun, hands-on and educational experience designed for the whole family to enjoy together.

What We’ll Do
Every child will receive their own Explorer’s Journal and a small collection bag to gather the natural treasures they discover along the way.
Step into the world of the dunes
We’ll follow an easy trail into this fascinating coastal landscape. Using illustrated field guides, we’ll discover the plants that thrive on the sand—from hardy pioneer species to more delicate ones—and learn how they help stabilize the dunes and protect the coastline from wind and waves.
Follow the tracks of wildlife
We’ll become real nature detectives, searching the sand for footprints, burrows, nests and other signs of animal life. Along the way, we’ll learn how to identify the creatures that call the dunes home.
A closer look at nature
Using magnifying glasses, we’ll explore the hidden details of this unique environment: unusual leaves, wind-carried seeds, and tiny insects perfectly adapted to life on the sand.
