What we will do
- We’ll begin the excursion with an introduction to kayaking and paddling techniques best suited to the lagoon environment
- Aboard our kayaks, we’ll head toward the Burano and Torcello archipelago, passing by some of the Venice Lagoon’s most iconic sites, such as Sant’Erasmo and San Francesco del Deserto
- Paddling through the shallow waters, we’ll proceed slowly until we enter the narrow canals leading to the center of Torcello
- Once we arrive at this historic Venetian island, we’ll pass under small bridges and alongside buildings that seem to float on the water, enjoying a spectacular view of the ancient Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta
- We’ll then head back toward Burano, where the colorful houses reflected on the water will welcome us for a stop on the island, where we can grab a bite to eat and take a brief tour of the town center
